Kentdale First Aid Training My colleagues were jealous when they heard which First Aid training I was attending and after spending a couple of days with Angie and Andrew - now I know why! They made everyone feel very welcome and comfortable, particularly those of us who may have initially felt self-conscious who were either new to First Aid training or VERY rusty! Drinks and biscuits were in constant supply (always a winner) so there was no excuse to be dehydrated or peckish! Angie and Andrew were both brilliant at delivering the programme. There was a lot of content to cover but their hands-on experience, extensive knowledge and real life examples they shared to illustrate the 'theory' was fantastic. If the aim is to help new knowledge stick, their style of delivery is what you need! An effective mixture of theory, real-life examples, and where appropriate, we had a practice ourselves with a variety of training equipment.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone needing to gain a First Aid qualification or refresh their knowledge and skills.

Kentdale First Aid Training I’ve done a few paediatric first courses and this was the best by far. Andrew and Angie had so many real life experiences to share, which made such a difference. They were able to demonstrate the seriousness of the content discussed, giving us the knowledge we needed but in such a humorous (and respectful) way…I don’t think think I’ve ever laughed so much on a first aid course!
And on a venue note, I don’t drink tea or coffee and I’ve never had a table on a course with such a lot of drinks for me to choose from! Thank you!

Attendees were made to feel at ease, no pressure was put on them and questions/discussions were welcomed. What I especially appreciated was the digital monitoring of the effectiveness of our CPR and also the explanations given as to what happens in the body / why we do things, rather than just being told to do it. However, I had no need to worry, the course was excellent and easy to follow in both theory and practice. Ross is a great guy, very enthusiastic ( which rubs off), clearly very knowledgable and a Fist Claas trainer. Over the years I have seen many bad ones! Maybe he should consider becoming a trainiing trainer. He is a good baker too.. 12 out of 10 , well done!

The things I was taught felt like they were much more common sense based. Previous courses I have attended have left me thinking that there was no way I would attempt to give 1st aid through worrying that i may get the breaths wrong or tie a bandage wrongly or forget to check pockets!! This course left me feeling that I would happily 'give it a go'. The tutor was focused, accommodating and welcoming. The venue was easy to get to and the refreshments were delicious.
