I would suggest that there could be more opportunities to ask questions on future courses. I needed time to process new information, that challenged my previous understanding, before I could ask questions. I often found myself interrupting the delivery in order to ask a question. Subject content on cold water shock and hypothermia challenged my previous understanding so I need time to reflect on this. The treatment of open wounds also challenged my previous understanding. The course has therefore provided food for thought and subjects for further investigation.

This has been by far the best first aid course I have attended. Pete’s timing and resources in the delivery of the course were spot on and kept everybody engaged and interested. His use of visual and actual resources helped me to relate the course content to real life situations and gave reassurance that I would be able to take appropriate action if it were ever needed. Pete’s open, honest and friendly approach engendered a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere within the group and his discussion regarding mental health (both that of the casualty and the first aider was a refreshing addition to a first aid course.
